That Ultraman series idea? Yeah, I dropped that, lul. Instead I have been focusing heavily on my kaijuverse inbetween studying and such at college. I wish I had my scanner, but I think by the time Christmas rolls around I'll be able to have my own scanner for my college drawings.

So, what do I have to present today for my kaijuverse? A fair amount, actually. I have a character overview for my absolute confirmed monsters as well as their roles. A number of you should recognize these players, while others will make many confused (particularly the natural monsters).

The basic plot (for those who I haven't told) is about a team of young adults (around 18-20ish) that are recruited by the government specifically for their unique ability to transform into giant monsters when exposed to "beast serum". This serum alters the genetic makeup of specific humans and allows them to unleash a hidden feral side and transform into kaiju. This team must take on the likes of the rogue company "Cyclone" as well as the natural kaiju that have begun to show up.

Here is the overview. The separations indicate the following; Heroes, Villains, Natural Kaiju, ???.

Shroom- Shroom is the leader of the team. He is a towering fungal monster that has a fine balance between offensive and defensive powers. Shroom uses the tendrils covering his hands to root foes in place for the rest of the team to attack. If no allies are there to aid him in battle, Shroom spawns massive mushrooms that explode, showering the foe with specialized spores that eat away at their flesh. These spores do not harm inorganic matter nor plant and fungi, but are deadly to all other forms of organic matter. While one would expect Shroom to be vulnerable to fire, he is actually hard to set ablaze due to his mossy hide, and can expel water from within his hide to put out flames. Shroom has the most synergy with Tursion, and they are often deployed together when the situation calls for it.

Tursion- Tursion is the most intelligent member of the team. She is a bipedal, psychic dolphin monster that has a vast arrange of ranged powers. Tursion often sticks to ranged attacks, preferring to pelt the foe with psychic energies. She even has the ability to bend water to her will, and can form water within her hands and launch it in concentrated orbs at foes. While she isn’t incredibly durable, she is capable of producing a shield of psychic energies to protect her and her allies when working with them. Tursion has the most synergy with Shroom, using her ranged abilities to attack from afar without worry as Shroom keeps them rooted in place.

Stonespine- Stonespine is the fastest member of the team. He is a hideous, agile gargoyle monster that uses speed to overwhelm foes. Stonespine has deadly melee weapons (especially the blades on his wings) using them to deliver quick melee blows, while pelting foes with crescent energy blasts. His hide is surprisingly tough, described as “Razorstone” because it is “hard as stone, yet sharp like shark skin”. While this makes him durable and a pain to grapple with, he does not have the best stamina. To counter this, he has the ability to transform into a “Stoneform” that allows him to regenerate health at the cost of movement. Stonespine has the most synergy with Ukata, and they are often deployed together when the situation calls for it.

Ukata- Ukata is the tank of the team. She is a bulky monster cross between a spotted hyena and bear. Ukata lacks any ranged weapons, but more than makes up for it with her sheer strength and stamina. Her jaws alone can crush some of the strongest materials known to man, and she can deliver powerful blows with her front legs. While Ukata may not have much special powers, she has a unique ability. Thanks to the spotted hyena part of her, Ukata has a wide arrange of annoying calls, and uses these to taunt her foes to attack her. This combined with her ridiculous stamina makes Ukata the team’s best damage taker. Ukata has the most synergy with Stonespine, taunting foes while Stonespine wears them down with flurries of quick blows.

Thaussian- Thaussian is a reoccurring villain that makes life a living hell for the team. Originally, Thaussian’s normal form was a Cryolophosaurus-like beast that had a deadly tail blade and could breathe hellish flames. The team eventually manages to get the better of him, however, and Thaussian is seemingly killed. However, he reverts back to human form and is recovered by the company Cyclone and resurrected as a cyborg. His new form is now a cybernetic zombie dinosaur, equipped with a massive chainsaw to shred foes apart. He has a missile tower on his back that can be loaded with debris; this can then be fired out like a shotgun to deal deadly close ranged damage. Thaussian is the bane of the heroes, while also being the leader of Cyclone’s “Terrible Three”.

Azrael- Azrael is part of Cyclone’s “Terrible Three”, and while Thaussian is the more balanced member of this team, Azrael is the hellish bruiser with a bad temper. He has tremendous strength and durability that would make even Ukata jealous. Azrael has been witnessed lifting over twice his own weight and throwing it like it’s nothing. Not only does he have powerful physical attributes, he can also unleash a beam of shadowflame, called so because of the dark energies that dances about within the heat energies in the beam. He can also pulse these dark energies throughout his body to deal damage in melee combat and can focus them into an orb and launch it at foes or enhance his physical blows.

Psychosis- Psychosis is the last of Cyclone’s “Terrible Three”. Many consider Thaussian and Azrael to be insane, but those people clearly haven’t met Psychosis. Psychosis is batshit crazy, laughing like a crazed lunatic in battle, even if he was just hit by an attack, and says things that some think might go beyond evil. He is a massive, winged serpentine-like creature with lower jaws that do not connect, four crazy eyes, a large bladed finger on each wing, and a mane going down from the back of his head all the way to his tentacle tipped tail. These tentacles can drain energy from a foe, transferring it over to keep this psychotic killer going. His final ability is his long tongue, which ends in a deadly spear and spines that can pierce into a foe and puff up, allowing Psychosis to pull his tongue out and tear chunks of flesh out with it.

Brutus- Brutus is one of the natural monsters that have appeared recently. He is a strong, heavyweight monster that loves to fight. Brutus has no ranged weapons but more than makes up for it with sheer physical power. Using his massive forearms, Brutus easily swats his foes around, and can overpower most monsters using his brute force (hence the name). His tail ends in massive pincers that can pick up foes and hurl them with ease. While physically strong, Brutus is rather clumsy, with some going as far as calling him goofy. He has been witnessed raging over very simple things and often times hurting himself in these rampages, enraging him even more. This makes him a very dangerous monster when angered, but he is otherwise calm outside of battle. Some speculate he merely enjoys the thrill of battle and loves a good fight, while others call those people crazy.

Kresh- Kresh is another natural monster, and an oddball at that. He is a massive, upright turtle that packs electrical powers. Being a turtle, Kresh is incredibly powerful in regards to defense; his shell is incredibly durable and he can withdraw into it very quickly. His tail is very similar to that of an Ankylosaur, tipped with a mace-like end. While tucked within his shell, Kresh will wave his tail around, smacking any foe that comes close enough. This mace is further enhanced by Kresh’s electrical powers; electrical charges can converge to the tail and upon impact, explode with a shower of sparks and fierce force. Kresh can also fire a beam of electricity from his charges and absorb electrical energies, even being able to surge it through foes. Kresh is a surprisingly timid kaiju, usually only showing up to feast upon electrical energy.

Kron- Kron is yet another natural monster, but far less hostile than the others. He is an armored, earth-eating, burrowing Hadrosaur monster. Kron usually stays away from cities, preferring to feast upon sand, dirt, and rocks. This bizarre biology confuses scientists to this day, and some speculate that he somehow extracts the nutrients and minerals from soil and rock and converts it to energy for himself. When in combat, Kron uses his armored body and massive head crest and horns like a battering ram, smashing into foes like an enraged bull. Kron has two unique ranged weapons; he is capable of firing a stream of boulders or sand at a foe. Both attacks are surprisingly effective, though Kron seems to prefer melee combat. He has even been witnessed lashing out with his powerful legs like a kangaroo! Kron is very timid, and seems to show up only when a major attack is occurring somewhere. Some believe Kron may be trying to protect humans and believes them to be his herd, while others believe he’s guarding his territory.

“The Ultimate Species”- This is the creation of Cyclone, a rogue organization bent on tampering with life. These creatures are said to be the “ultimate species”. They have many morphs, some of which are created and adapted to fight specific monsters or to deal with a certain situation. Little else is known about them and it is unknown what keeps creating more (even when Cyclone claims they only created one creature), nor what causes them to have so much diversity...
